Sarah found me through my ad in Ceremony Magazine when she was on a flight from San Francisco to Philadelphia, where she was in nursing school. Seems that she went to Stanford with the bride and groom whose picture I had used. Small world! I didn’t meet Isiah until further into the planning process. He came with his parents to one of our planning meetings. The chemistry was obvious between Sarah and Isiah ~ so much love. Isiah’s parents are originally from Jamaica. I fell in love with them and immediately began talking about Jamaican food! Sarah put nursing school on hold after a few months to be in the bay area to plan her wonderful wedding. She had a surprise for Isiah, the fantastic groom’s cake with the appearance of a box of cigars ~ complete with each groomsmen’s name on them. He had a surprise for her as well ~ Ashante Floyd, her favorite violinist and his band, were flown in from Atlanta. They rose up from their seats at the end of the ceremony to play “All You Need is Love.” Trust me, it was difficult for me to keep the secret in the week before the wedding, but the look on Sarah’s face was so worth it! The evening was just perfect, and the first dance, played by Ashante was shear magic! Sarah and Isiah headed to Greece and Italy for a little relaxation and are now settled in their new home. AND, I was invited for Jamaican dinner prepared by Isiah’s mom, Helene, and can’t wait!!
