When I first met with Ashley and Rex before Thanksgiving 2013, it was simply for a consultation. Ashley was overwhelmed at the thought of planning a wedding, and they were only in San Francisco for one more day but knew that they wanted to be married here in the bay area. Well, I hoped after meeting them that I would be able to work with them for the planning process as they are two very special people! After the holidays when life had returned to normal, they called to ask if I could do exactly that ~ help them create a winter solstice, holiday wedding. Ashley was back and forth from Michigan, and Rex was in Arizona, so there were a few challenges ahead of us. However, on December 20, 2014, they were married is a beautiful ceremony at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. The evening continued with a special vegetarian dinner created by Chef Jerome. The place card holders were pomegranates that were larger than baseballs! Darwin with Florali created centerpieces and a bridal bouquet with rich reds, deep purples and pheasant feathers. The evening was as special as the two people who were married that evening! It was the highlight of my holiday season and was my last wedding of the year. Happy New Year, Ashley and Rex!
