Todd and Natalie’s Fantastic Wedding!!

My nephew, who lives in D.C., surprised us earlier this year with his engagement to Natalie. The entire family was thrilled, AND he decided to do a small wedding in my sister’s home in southern California! They have lived there for over 30 years and every major family event has been celebrated there. It is on the market now, so Todd’s wedding would be the last big event to be held there… one BIG memory for all of us! My sister was not aware that we were having a surprise 70th birthday party for her the next day, which is why all of her children and special friends were coming to town! Needless to say, my wedding planning skills were put to the speed test, and it was a wonderful, touching, emotional, beautiful wedding! His wife, Natalie, is from Ukraine, so I enlisted the help of my past Russian weddings to translate a short toast, which I gave at dinner. She laughed in the right places, so I think it was a success! It was a night to remember…
